Ecology Extravaganza Vol. 2
Ecology Extravaganza Vol. 2 focusses on new and more explicit subject matter introduced in the 2025 Senior Biology syllabus.
Topics will include:
- how to use Linnaean taxonomic system
- distinguish sampling method from sampling technique
- refresher on using Specht’s classification system
- how to use Holdridge life zone classification scheme appropriately
- examples of overexploitation, habitat destruction, monocultures, and pollution and how community structure and ecosystem functioning are affected
- Pearson’s correlation coefficient
- Spearman’s rank test
- exam-style questions.
This professional development workshop is delivered by Dr Gurion Ang.

The professional development fee is $50 (excluding GST) / $55 (including GST).

Ecology Extravaganza Vol. 2 is delivered live online (via Zoom; joining instructions including Zoom link provided to all registrants closer to event date), and is recorded. All registrants will receive resources and recordings that can be accessed indefinitely.
