To apply for honours, you must choose a project topic, find a supervisor and then fill in an online application.

Choose a topic and supervisor

You can do this two ways:

  1. Visit our honours projects pages to see a selection of available topics. If you find a topic you like, contact the academic who's listed as the project supervisor and ask them if they'll work with you.
  2. Visit our research pages to see our areas of expertise and the academics who work within them. Once you've formed an idea for a topic, or you've found an academic who shares your fascination for a subject, contact them to discuss your proposal.

Email us at biology.enquiries@uq.edu.au if you need help finding a supervisor.

Remember: you must secure a supervisor before you apply.

Check your entry requirements

You'll need to meet certain entry requirements to be accepted into an honours program.

Find program information below about the BSc (Hons) and BAdvSc (Hons) degrees, including prerequisites, English language requirements, and how to apply.

Complete your application

The application process differs slightly for each degree - select your program from the options below for details.

Once your application has been processed, you'll be notified of the outcome and, if successful, you'll receive instructions on how to complete your enrolment.
