We are conducting seasonal benthic surveys of sub-tidal coral communities from Moreton Bay for Photogrammetry and 3D habitat modeling from July 2021 to December 2022. Data from these surveys can be used in various honours projects, including community structure over seasonal time scales; dispersal patterns (clumped, random or even); population dynamics from size-frequency distributions, growth rates, and  recruitment, survival and mortality rates; competition and aggression; and the relationship between coral colour patterns (paling and bleaching) to thermal stress over a yearly cycle.

Students will have the opportunity to undertake fieldwork in Moreton Bay in 2022.
