Genome evolution in Anopheles mosquitoes from the Southwest Pacific

This project will help develop genomic resources for malaria transmitting mosquitoes of our region of the world (Southwest Pacific). Genomes for this species will be sequenced using Illumina (short read) and Nanopore (long read) technologies before being assembled and compared in an evolutionary framework.
