Theme: Ecology genetics and evolution 

Description: This project will use population genetics data as well as extensive collection data to model the ecological niches of Anopheles hinesorum populations. This species shows strong population structure both within and between Australia and New Guinea. Key questions to be addressed include:

1) when populations are modelled separately, is there any overlap in occurrence predicted?

2) what are the main environmental factors predicted to drive probability of occurrence, and do these overlap between different populations or are they different?

3) How are populations ranges predicted to change under different future climate scenarios?
