Antarctic voyagers to explore climate change’s impacts on oceans

University of Queensland researchers are on a mission to see how climate change is affecting East Antarctica on CSIRO vessel Investigator.

The Australia-led, collaborative research team will be investigating the flow pathways of dense Antarctic ‘bottom water’, measuring its sensitivity to changes in climate and impact on seafloor ecosystems, helping predict how a warming climate will influence future ocean circulation around Antarctica.
